This blog of mine is a an extention of my myself ,of what i think, how i behave, what troubles me ...basically the works!! In short "COSMIC VISIONS" is a piece that i dedicate to my being! Its a ladder that shall celebrate every thought of mine one after another. I hope to rise and shine in the ever glowing light of words.....

WAKE UP INDIA
A mirror image of unity and equanimity, is how i conceive our motherland. It may be a quaint thought but factually i picture an average Indian , the man on the street willingly casting his vote ,not by virtue of his thumb print but by means of the most powerful weapons on this planet, the “pen”. I aspire to witness an India on the path of literacy where in our citizens undertake the noble task of “each one teach one”. Let us understand that genuine effort made over a period can move mountains.
Let us salute the Indian spirit of fortitude that has left its mark on time, not just by a battered ritual of giving a standing ovation to our national anthem, but by living the grandeur of its melody , by seeing our identity in every Indian citizen , be it a “Maharashtrian” or a “Punjabi”, a “Gujrati” or a “Bihari”, be it a “Hindu” or a “Muslim” , be it a “Parsi” or “Christian”. May we extend our hand to each other & reach out to the remotest corners of our country from sheer “Love”, “Empathy” and “Reverence”.
“CORRUPTION” IS FATHERED BY “HUNGER” AND HUNGER IS CONCEIVED BY POVERTY. A substantial effort on the part of the Indian entrepreneur can bear the sweetest fruit. Therefore encourage this class of risk bearer to pave way for more start ups many other new ventures thereby establishing employment opportunities for all.
As the mighty streams gushing with water parch the thirst of the dry land ,so may our farmers who have a potent presence in this vast nation which apparently is nestled in the villages, flourish & prosper , because in their progress lies the eternal & undiluted progress of our entire nation. Let fertility in all aspects belong to our “land dweller” in other words our farmer who still toils for a morsel.
A healthy nation which glows with the radiance of sufficiency and has no time to look back is how Vijeya sees INDIA .

My Boss's Chillies !!!!!
My day starts with juicy fried gossips with my colleagues from my neighboring desks. Together we make our afternoons spicy with talks ranging from the latest hairdo to who has recently been dumped by whom. This is followed by lunch with my friends where in I have my chapattis reserved in their homemade delicious Tiffin….it would be unusual for me to get my own Tiffin.
My evenings are further brightened by calls from my boss who seems to shed all the extra chilly powder that she collects from her boss , over in my eyes . So by the time I go to bed I’m blinded by the chillies in my eyes …however I still sleep with the dream of waking up and realizing that my dreams have been materialized ..minus the “hot chillies”.
So here is a little prayer that I recite to myself as an ardent follower of my boss…
“ Dear God of spices
Make me a mistress of sugar & spice for me to uphold and blend the two extremities with a dash of every ingredient from every hour of the day & may I atone myself to the taste buds of my boss who prefers the flavor of “red hot chillies” a wee bit more in my case.
Amen !”

The Child Hearted Astro Guru!
Some times even love can’t give you the hope in testing times but some people jus make u feel that it’s only a game of fate. Duck the ball of misfortune with just a few tricks & simple calculations of numbers. If Saturn hits u hard on the face then you can beautify the misery with a smile. And just in case Jupiter is slow to let u have what you want, then Venus will come by your way and give you the outstanding aura and charisma to charm your way across Rahu and Ketu. And if still you are not satisfied then you can call down your very own ball of fire to fire back at every asteroid that crosses your path……meet the very aura piercing , fantabulous precise, nerve racking , mind blowing ( I guess blasting would be better) Astro surgeon …..Mr. Dipak Raj Walia…(.i dare not take his name…my “tauji”) who can simply lay down your past present and future by just one look at your “Kundali” and spell out your journey through time.
Okay! He is someone who can scare you to death with just one glance, or shower petals of love with the same sparkling eyes! One of the very few straightforward people of today’s times …he is brutally frank and doesn’t mind calling a spade a spade! he was someone who I have been scared off all my life …finally I am able to catch my breath in his presence. He can turn salt to sugar and sugar to salt ….he can choose to be any flavour that he desires which could be anything ranging from sweet to sour..And from tangy to chilly as well,,,,,,YES !! he is proficient to give any one the chills without a bomb in his hand.
Well that is his outward demeanour !
“Tauji” is a man of sorts, who has relentlessly worked his way out all his life and never let the family feel that he was ever under stress…always making merry is what you will usually find him indulging in. I have learnt one thing from him that with just exercising commonsense and a relentless will to keep hope from dying, one can make things possible even when life seems to suffocate you!
Tremendous zeal and an even more thunderous vigour to prove his metal makes him uniquely different from any one in our family. This ubiquitously precise nature makes him the most sought after people who practice the ancient art of astrology and with such conviction that your are forced to bow down to his beliefs …….for those who just use this art for commercial gains , here is a simple man who just can’t equate money with something that he considers so pious . I will be ever grateful to him for the immense help and guidance he has provided me with, during my recent struggles which I could laugh off because his simple words gave me the assurance that all is ,was , and soon will be well !
He is my second hope after my mother…and today is the day I dare to tell him that he occupies an erratic place in my heart where he sits like the laughing Buddha exuding peace, wealth and harmony.

Have fun …escape the pit of no thoughts !
I have stopped troubling my brain for minor details which relate to “others” & to hit it more specifically people, places and things. Without distinguishing between any, I ignore all (though i never ignore animated beings…there is a contradiction here..)
I wish to call you dead if you can’t have fun !!!!!!
If you keep worrying ‘bout your mortgages you sure will die way before god can will it . No…. it’s not funny! Do you realize how long its been since you decided to go get yourself a life …. For generations we think that we have grown up.
Well Grownups! You see the generation standing inline behind you , wishing to get into your shoes , more appropriately vying to take your place , believes that there is more fun in being “serious” than have careless worry free life .”
What a SERIOUS thought….i guess having fun is some kind of taboo. Although “fun” itself is pretty subjective. With so many “ifs” & “buts” doing the round for us in this vast circle of life ,we sure can’t keep track of every possible detail ,so I abandon the possibility of answering your question relating to the subjectivity of “fun” …call it anything ...but don’t call it off , just like I never did. .......................So the underlining thought is to “Have fun…”
In my short & sweet journey of a little over twenty four years I have come to terms with myself and a quaint trait called Pride. I never parted ways with my "pride" and I never will, because unless you think highly of yourself (which in turn states your state of mind) you can forget all ‘bout enjoying what’s happening in and around you .Thus to escape gloom take admission in the class of "Pride ." But be clear because there is a very thin line drawn between pride and arrogance. So beware and be not mistaken to fall into the pit of gloomy arrogance which is substantially easy. That’s why I managed to convince myself that I won’t fall into its lap , so to counter attack it I decided to have FUN, ….. I thought to have fun while I am teaching ( since these days I am handling the teacher in me ), and most of all I need to have fun while I am having “fun”…… are you reading me ?

Platform Mania...
Questions are zooming in my mind sitting at the Vashi station. I’m encountering a lot of confusion. There are ladies huddling up to catch the next local. Teenagers walk past in the swankiest of clothes, the baggy jeans the abstract color blazing shoes; it indeed is a jarring sight.
At the Mumbai local railway station there is never an end to the activities that rocket around. If any one wishes to stop it, he is certainly praying for the impossible.
Believe me when I say so but being only two years old in Mumbai has taught me how to juggle through the confusion. It’s like ducking past fire balls & ditching every single one of them.
People may call the city rude but they do not deny knowing it as a candid place. The candidness behind the sarcastic words is misconstrued with rudeness; never will you encounter such a frank combination of the two. Squeezing my way through the zillion souls swimming in the tiny train compartments that house them, doesn’t thrill me very much but it indeed is one obligation that every “local (train)” loyalist needs to repeat day after day. If you fail to perish in a year in this crazed land, trust me sweets you can survive a place in hell too!!
The real roasting begins in Mumbai. It is the land that chickens your soul or makes you bold enough to behold your breath and squash the evil eye right under your foot.
The way to be in this land of extremes is the way to push in your tears back to where they came from and rear to run ahead of yourself.

Wedding bells
The wedding bells are jingling for someone. Hard to believe that Pooja has finally got to shuttle between homes. The untapped sense of joy is unfathomable. Do I need to even put it on paper that I am very happy for her? Her life is on the brink of a change, and a change which is so surmountable that neither she nor any one of us will be fit to comment on. To say that I wish her well would seem like a formality.….!!!!
Are you still wondering who Pooja is …well Pooja is my first cousin ( my tauji’s only daughter) .Quite determined in her approach to life , the perfect one to nurse the wounds of the one in pain , one who approaches the job at hand very strategically, now that is Pooja for you. To say that I know all about her would be a lie, because I really don’t. Perhaps because of the bitter arguments that the two of us were unnecessarily part of, we lost out on knowing the shape of each other’s heart. And thus never had much to share. She and I lived under the same roof and were even more formal than the people from the corporate. Pooja “the foodie”, Pooja the “chirpy bird”, Pooja the “juke box” that’s what describes her the best. The gym was her best hangout place ….he he he he he.
There is a lot that was left unsaid between her and me. But since her wedding is on the cards I here by proclaim that our mothers may not share the same genes but we do Pooja!! I have every right bestowed by the same genes to hit you on your back, to pinch you, hug you hard, kiss you innumerable times and finally set you sailing for your journey ahead. I could never have missed out on writing about you. There always has been a line of formality amongst the two of us which still hasn’t melted , irrespective of your thoughts towards me , I promise you a wedding gift that only a few will offer. I promise to be behind you when you turn the pages of time, I promise to always be only a call away when you need a helping hand. You are my cousin, and you are the only sister I have ever known Pooja. I don’t wish any thing from your side but I wish you a flourishing future!!
I almost jumped out of my seat when the news of your marriage was broken to me!! Although I know that I might not have a grand role to play in your life but I shall still doubly rejoice at this juncture of your life.
Since your red letter day is ahead I wish to congratulate you and every one from “our” family. My feelings towards you have changed because honestly “change” changes everyone. These words are my only means of letting you know my most genuine thoughts.
If I say that I care it simply mean that “I do”
